Georgia Elliott-Smith

Managing Director

Element 4

An environmental engineer and chartered environmentalist, Georgia started her career at Bovis in 1995 as one of the first dedicated environment managers in the construction industry. Following an Antarctic expedition, she became a UNESCO Special Envoy for Youth & the Environment, a role that involves speaking to young people around the world on environmental issues.

As managing director of sustainability consultancy Element 4, Georgia works with organisations such as the Bank of England, Nike, Deloitte and UPP to deliver more sustainable projects and business practices. A critic of traditional approaches to sustainability, Georgia promotes ‘disruptive sustainability’ – a combination of best practice and activism that generates purpose and drives the changes necessary to achieve positive change in industry.

As well as working to enhance the climate and biodiversity impacts of real estate, Element 4 are at the vanguard of the healthy buildings movement, with more Fitwel projects than any other consultant in Europe.
